Custom silk screen printing is when a custom design is applied in special ink to the surface of a fabric. A silk screen is covered with an emulsion to block the holes in the mesh. Components of the design are then etched into the emulsion which allows ink to pass through the screen wherever the design is located. Depending on the amount of colors in the design, there can be multiple screens used for each color. During printing, the colored ink is dragged across the mesh on top of the garment.
