Contract Discharge Printing

Are you a fan of screen printing, but you wish there was a way to get a softer hand to your prints?  Well, luckily for you, there is such a way to get those ‘barely there’ graphics onto your custom garments!  You can jump into contract discharge printing and feel the difference immediately.  Contract discharge printing uses water based inks instead of the typical plastisol inks, which leaves a different, softer feeling on the garment that many people love.

Before I get too far ahead of myself, let me explain how the inks work differently.  With plastisol inks, there is virtually no solvent and adequate heat is required to cure and set the ink.  Water based inks contain solvents, often times including water, which must be evaporated to set the print.  Since water based inks are susceptible to drying out, they cannot be reused like plastisol inks and are more expensive.  The benefit, however, is that the dye can penetrate deeper into the fabric and deposit the color while producing that softer touch that is so desirable.  Plastisol inks only remain on the surface and become rigid after curing.

Contract discharge printing is just an extension of water based ink screen printing where a discharge agent has been added to the ink.  Discharge printing works by removing the preexisting color from the garment via the discharge agent.  If you tint the ink containing the discharge agent, you can simultaneously take out the old color and input your own new color!  So, in the battle of plastisol inks versus water based and discharge inks, there is not clear winner.  It all depends on your customization needs and aspirations.  If you work with us at AMBRO Manufacturing, you won’t have to choose because we can offer you both!  You can contact us to place and order, or to find out more about our company, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.

Custom Screen Printing Prices

Are you a teacher in charge of a school store and looking to get some screen printed shirts and sweatpants done but are on a tight budget and having trouble finding someone with the right pricing for your budget? Or maybe you’re the manager of a band and came up with a cool design and looking to get shirts screen printed at a reasonable price. Well look no further here at AMBRO Manufacturing we do screen printing as well as sublimation and embroidery. Not only do we have affordable and reasonable pricing but all of our pricing is online at www.contractscreenprinter.com

Custom Screen Printing Prices

Not only is there pricing on our website for traditional screen printing and jumbo screen printing but the pricing for sublimation and embroidery is on there as well. If the pricing is a little confusing ill break it down for you. For custom screen printing all you need to start off is a minimum of 12 pieces. So say your artwork calls for 2 colors and you wanted to get it printed on a white t-shirt. For a 2 color on a white shirt it would be $3.00 a shirt plus the cost of the t-shirt. There is also a screen set up charge of $25.00 and since you are getting 2 colors it would be 2 set up charges. We also have an artwork charge of $50.00 unless you can supply your artwork in a vector file.

The more shirts you order the cheaper the screen printing will cost. So say you were getting 50 shirts the price for screen printing per shirt would be $1.85 plus the cost of the shirt. Now if you wanted your screen printing done on a dark shirt, like a black or navy the price would go up one because of the under base. If you’re still having trouble understanding the price sheet, feel free to call (908) 806-8337 or email us and someone will be available to help you with any questions you have.
