As long as screen printing has been around, the techniques are constantly changing. The use of inks also changes with texture and consistency. When you walk into stores and you see all the printed tees, odds are that they are a thicker ink. In some cases you will see a shirt that has a very thin ink on it, almost like if the shirt did not get printed. In those scenarios it was using water ink printing.

Water Ink Printing

There are many screen printing companies around, but there are few that do water ink printing. AMBRO Manufacturing is the one place that can do this type of printing. Water ink printing is a bit more complex than the normal plastisol printing. Every color that we have has to be mixed with a formula to get the color in ink form.

There are two types of water ink printing that can be done; acrylic and discharge. Discharge is a type of water ink printing. Using this method, we would actually bleach out the design on the shirt. This works well on dark colors only. Acrylic ink is the type of water based ink that we use. Both ways of printing will use produce a very light feel to the ink on the shirt.

In our screen printing department we can do the standard front and back prints. We can also do all over prints that span across the entire shirt from sleeve to sleeve and top to bottom. We can print over seams with ease but may have some areas where the ink will not be printed. We have two types of ink that we use daily. We have plastisol, which is a thicker ink, and water based which is thinner and has a soft feel on the shirt itself. We also have fun specialty inks if you want something different. Our glitter inks and metallic inks are always a hit.

Screen Printing & Embroidery

In our embroidery department we can embroider any logo that you have, even your own company one if you need shirts made. There is no limit to how many colors are in the design to use for embroidery. The price is based on how many stitches are in the design. If you want a design that is brand new there will be a digitizing fee to create it in the format that we would need for our machine. We have a lot of thread colors that you can get to make your logo look great.
