Contract Sock Printing

Dye sublimation printing is perfect for socks because the process actually binds the dyes to the fabric so that it won’t wash off or peel away over time.  All you have to do is digitally print out the artwork from a sublimation printer onto a heat transfer sheet and then heat press the design to the garment.  The heat makes the dyes activate and bind to the fabric and that’s all it takes!  So if you are interested in doing your contract sock printing here with us at AMBRO Manufacturing, or if you would like to learn more about our company and customization services, you can easily contact us by email or by giving us a call at (908) 806-8337.

Water Based Screen Printing Techniques

How much do you know about your custom screen printing?  Do you know that there are different types of inks?  Depending on the kind of fabric you are printing on and the kind of design you’d like to see on the garment there could be different techniques that need to be employed to produce the desired result.  Let’s take water based screen printing techniques for example.  Water based inks are a type of ink that contains a solvent, which is typically water, that evaporates leaving the pigment behind.

Water Based Screen Printing Techniques

You can use water based inks to print directly onto the garment, but that’s not all you can do.  One of the water based screen printing techniques that is very popular is to use a discharge agent in your water based ink.  By adding a discharge agent to the ink, you can actually remove the existing color from a garment!  In screen printing you need a layer of white under any colors that you want to pop on colored shirts which translates to more ink that needs to be on the shirt.  With discharge inks you can forgo the white base layer because the discharge agent will return the shirt to its undyed, natural color while depositing the desired color on top.

Discharge printing sounds too good to be true, but it really works!  So if you are interested in exploring water based screen printing techniques and how they can impact your custom designs, why don’t you check us out at AMBRO Manufacturing?  AMBRO Manufacturing is a contract apparel customization company so we have many different kinds of garment decoration services for you to take advantage of!  You can easily contact us to place an order, or to find out more about our company and all of the services we have to offer, by email or by giving us a call at (908) 806-8337.
