So how does foil printing work? The foil used in foil screen printing comes as a sheet so you can’t just print the design as you would with an ink. Instead, what we do is print a special adhesive ink wherever the foil would show up in the design. After the adhesive is applied, we then take a foil sheet and cover the adhesive completely. With a quick heat pressing the foil will bind to the adhesive (and only the adhesive) so that when you pull the sheet away your design will be coated in beautiful foil.

Foil comes in every color of the rainbow, but that’s not even the end of it! You can get all kinds of special effects foils that have different reflective finishes and interesting patterns or prints. You can do your designs completely in foil or you can chose specific elements in your design to highlight with foil accents.
