Custom Silk Screen Printing

Have you heard about silk screen printing before, but you don’t really know what that is?  Are you curious as to how it works?  Do you want to know how it can be useful to you?  Maybe you’ve been having trouble finding a company that can do custom silk screen printing?  Luckily, the answers to those problems can be found here.

Custom Silk Screen Printing

Custom silk screen printing is when a custom design is applied in special ink to the surface of a fabric.  A silk screen is covered with an emulsion to block the holes in the mesh.  Components of the design are then etched into the emulsion which allows ink to pass through the screen wherever the design is located.  Depending on the amount of colors in the design, there can be multiple screens used for each color.  During printing, the colored ink is dragged across the mesh on top of the garment.  Wherever the mesh is open, the ink will pass through and leave behind the design.  It’s a lot like using a stencil but it requires a lot more effort and precision to execute a top quality print.  So how can custom silk screen printing be beneficial to you?  Just imagine all the possibilities of having custom garments and accessories.  If you are a custom clothing designer, silk screen printing can take your designs to a commercial level.  If you need spirit wear for the team and their families, custom silk screen printing can do that for you too!

Lastly, if you haven’t been able to find the company to do your custom silk screen printing, AMBRO Manufacturing is here to help.  We have the experience and technology to meet your screen printing needs.  If you would like to place a custom silk screen printing order, or for any questions, you can contact us by email or by calling at (908) 806 8337.

Direct To Garment Printing

Direct To Garment Printing

Direct to garment printing also known as Digital printing or DTG is a great way to print small orders with multiple colors and save some money. Direct to garment printing works by printing on a garment using a modified or specialized inkjet technology. The direct to garment printing machine is just like your basic inkjet desktop printer that you use to print on paper. The direct to garment printing machine is driven by RIP also known as Raster Image Processor. The RIP program allows you to print using much larger volumes of ink for your image being printed.

Direct To Garment Printing

In order to get the best quality print with direct to garment printing it is recommended for the items to be 100% cotton or a cotton blend. When doing direct to garment printing on dark colors the garments must be pretreated before printing them or the image will not show up clear at all. The direct to garment printing has a transport mechanism for the garments that uses specialty inks to apply to the garments directly and is absorbed by the cotton fibers in the garment.

With direct to garment printing you can have a minimum order of just one shirt and the direct to garment images look much better then vinyl which would be another way you could have a minimum of 1 item. But with the direct to garment you can have fun with the images. Maybe your mom’s 60th birthday is coming up and you want to have a shirt made for her with an image of you and her when you were younger, you can do all that with digital printing but you cannot do that with vinyl. You can also have words printed with direct to garment printing and they will look way cooler than vinyl would.

So look into getting some direct to garment printing done!  You can reach us by calling (908) 806-8337 or email.
