Discharge Printing Method

Have you heard of the discharge printing method for decorating garments before?  If you haven’t, I imagine it must sound like quite an odd way to print!  The reason behind where the discharge printing method gets its name from is the discharge agent that is present in the ink.  You see, the only difference between water based ink printing and discharge printing is that the discharge agent is added to the water based ink!  Now all this talk about discharge printing, but what does that really mean?

The discharge printing method is meant to remove the existing color from the fabric, thus discharging it, so that you can replace it with your desired color.  Why would you want to print this way?  There’s a bunch of reasons why some garment designers prefer to use the discharge printing method!  One of the top reasons is how soft the prints turn out.  Water based inks leave behind amazingly soft prints unlike the industry standard plastisol inks because they contain a liquid solvent, typically water.  Since discharge and water based inks are so fluid, you can print over seams in a garment which makes them great at all over printing!

So for flowy and lightweight clothing, don’t weigh them down with heavy plastisol prints, use the discharge printing method instead and watch how your customers ‘ooh and aah’ over how soft and flexible your custom prints are!  It’s easy to get started if you come to us at AMBRO Manufacturing.  We are a contract screen printing, sublimation and embroidery company with everything you need for top quality printing.  We offer discharge printing alongside many other garment decoration methods that you can select from as well.  If you would like to place an order, or if you would like to find out more about us and our services, you can contact us by email or by calling at (908) 806-8337.

Custom Foil Printing on T-shirts and Hoodies

Have you heard of foil printing before?  If not, it is a fascinating way to decorate your own personalized garments.  There are tons of ways to apply your designs and countless garments to choose from, but one of the more popular options is custom foil printing on T-shirts and hoodies.  These garments feature large enough printing areas to really maximize your shine!  You can have custom foil printing done for any business need or personal celebration.

Custom Foil Printing on T-shirts and Hoodies

If you are a custom garment decorator, you will flock to a foil print that calls out from the clothing rack, and rest assured that with foil, your designs will be seen.  You can choose a little bit of foil for an accent to your prints or you can opt for a completely foil design!  Whatever suits your needs, we here at AMBRO Manufacturing would love to make it happen for you. We are an apparel customization company with nearly 30 years of experience behind us, so we know what we’re doing.  We have tons of foil colors to select from and we can even provide you with specialty foils that have prints and prismatic effects.  We also can offer you a ‘mixed media’ print where we apply screen printing alongside your foil prints.

Custom foil printing on T-shirts and hoodies is almost the same process as traditional screen printing, but with one key difference.  The foil part of the design will be screen printed with an adhesive, instead of a colored ink.  After the adhesive layer is applied, a foil sheet is heat pressed to the adhesive and the excess is peeled away to reveal the design in foil!  So if you are interested in custom foil printing, you can contact us to place an order, or to find out more about, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.
