Most screen printing is done using plastisol inks because they are easy to reuse and they won’t dry up when exposed to air.  The problem with plastisol is that you need to cure it with a dryer to set the print and that stiffens the ink and it feels heavy.  AMBRO Manufacturing offers Discharge printing inks are formulated differently and they are thinner than plastisol which allows them to penetrate deeper and across seams more easily.  They also contain a discharge agent that is responsible for removing the dyes already present in the shirt so that you don’t need to create a base layer of ink to get bright results.

Have you ever seen a print on a tee shirt that takes up the entire front and back of the garment? If you have and are wondering how it is made then I will be able to help you out. There are many screen printing companies around that can print tee shirts very easily, but there are few that can make an all over printed tee shirt. AMBRO Manufacturing is one of those companies that can make all over prints.

Dye Sublimation

We have been in business for over 30 years and keep moving in the direction of doing all over prints. One of our techniques to print tee shirts this was is through dye sublimation. The process of printing this way is a bit different from normal screen printing. Dye sublimation is a technique that when the ink hits the fabric it will turn into a vaper and get dyed into the fabric when heat is applied. The design can have a range of full colors. It must be high resolution and large enough in scale, so that when we size it to the actual garment it will not print blurry or pixelated.

With any dye sublimation printing, the garment must be white and 100% polyester. This is like painting on a wall; you always need primer first before you apply the color so that it will be bright. Having a white shirt will allow the colors in the design to be bright and saturated. Not only can we use dye sublimation for shirts, but we can also print on the front, back, and sides of socks.
