As long as screen printing has been around, the techniques are constantly changing. The use of inks also changes with texture and consistency. When you walk into stores and you see all the printed tees, odds are that they are a thicker ink. In some cases you will see a shirt that has a very thin ink on it, almost like if the shirt did not get printed. In those scenarios it was using water ink printing.

This works well on dark colors only. Acrylic ink is the type of water based ink that we use. Both ways of printing will use produce a very light feel to the ink on the shirt.
