Dye Sublimation Shirts
The process of creating Dye Sublimation Shirts involves the use of specialized artwork, inks and industrial heating equipment. Artwork is printed on custom coated dye sublimation paper using wide format printers, the paper is then placed on the garment to be dye sublimated and then industrial heat and pressure is applied to transfer the image to the garment.
Dye Sublimation Shirts
Not to be confused with old school T-Shirt transfers, Dye Sublimation Shirts are created by fusing the artwork directly into the fabric itself. The wearer of the shirt will not be able to feel the design like one might if the process of screen printing or iron on transfers were used.
Dye Sublimation Shirts are NOT created using an iron on method. While industrial irons are used in the process, there is not substrate being attached to the surface of the fabric like you might see with Screen Printing or traditional iron ons. The head simply turns the image into it's gas state, allowing the dyes to migrate into the fabric fibers, resulting in a brilliantly colored and crisp image.
For over 3 decades, AMBRO Manufacturing has been using multiple methods of decoration to embellish fabrics, textiles and garments. The popularity of Dye Sublimation Shirts has surged since the early 2000's and continues to boom as the urban community pushes the envelope of dye sublimation with amazing artwork, designs and all over shirt prints.
