Custom Printed Polo T-Shirts

When businesses start to research the possibility of getting custom polo shirts, they generally are looking for embroidered shirts. Embroidered shirts are awesome. They look good, they convey professionalism and reliability. The best work to describe them is “regal”. However, for some small businesses, the setup investment and per polo price may be outside of their budget. Launching a business on a shoestring is challenging but Custom Printed Polo T-Shirts can help.

Similar to embroidered polo shirts, Custom Printed Polo T-Shirts offer the same clean and professional look, but instead of embroidery, the logo is screen printed. Ink vs. Thread is the difference. Both look crisp and professional. If your business is on a budget but you are still seeking that professional look, then using screen printing on a polo shirt can save you 50% in setup costs and 30% on the finished product.

Many start up companies or companies with a tight marketing budget will opt for printed polo shirts over t-shirts because the collar adds to the professionalism and clean look.

CMYK Screen Printing

In the world of custom garment decoration there are two main camps when it comes to printing: silk screen printing versus dye sublimation printing.  Each of these methods carry their own advantages and disadvantages, which matter depending on the design you wish to apply to your garments.  For example, with screen printing, you can’t achieve as much color expression from your prints as with dye sublimation printing.  But there is such a thing as CMYK screen printing that can get a much wider expression of colors out of your silk screened prints.

CMYK Screen Printing

Typically in screen printing, the artwork is separated into layers of color, one color per layer.  Each layer is then burned into a silk screen so it can later have colored ink drawn across it to produce an image.  If you have a logo with two colors, this process is quick and easy.  CMYK screen printing will come into play when you have much more colors than a few solid chunks.  CMYK screen printing works by building the desired color through applying different values of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black ink.  This process has been in use for many years in various forms of artistic image rendering and it certainly works.

As you might imagine, CYMK screen printing takes finesse and experience to do it right, so it’s best to leave it to the professionals.  Here at AMBRO Manufacturing we can take care of your CMYK screen printing needs for sure.  We have been in the apparel customization business for over 30 years, so you can trust in our expertise.  If you’re new to custom printing, our support team can answer any questions you might have and help guide you through to a successful product.  You can contact us to place an order, or to find out more, by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.
