Screen Printing in New Jersey

AMBRO Manufacturing offers Screen Printing in New Jersey. With 30+ years in business and in our 3rd family generation of operation, we know screen printing. In addition to screen printing, we offer embroidery and knitting.

Choosing a good screen printer is not an easy task. Screen printers typically fall into one of three categories. Category one includes what I like to call “Mega Screen Printers”, these printers are massive. They print hundreds of thousands of items each month. If you need a few hundred thousand pieces, then they are a great choice. But if you need only a few dozen, hundred or thousand, then it’s unlikely that any of these mega printers will return your calls.

The next category is what I call “The Garage Shop”. These printers often work out of their basement, garage or small retail space. While you can find many good quality printers in this category, it’s truly a hit or miss. Often, the level of service that you will get from one of these printers depends highly on what they have in their shop the week that you need something. As a one man or one woman shop, the proprietor is often the Jack or Jill of all trades. This means that the person that answers the phone, does the paperwork, prints the products, QC check the products and delivers them, is the same person. While that can be awesome, it also means that they have limited capacity. Risks with working with this type of organization are high.

The final and most rare category is the mid-level provider. Mid-level providers are big enough to produce hundreds or thousands but not so big that they won’t take your order for 12 pieces. These mid-level companies have the resources that you need to get your job completed in a quality manner and in a short period of time.

How to Make Full Print Shirts

If you are looking to start designing shirts that feature an all over print, it would be very helpful to understand how to make full print shirts first!  Shirts with a full print on them aren’t as simple to apply as a small chest or back logo.  To better understand why that is, let’s talk about the process of screen printing and how to make full print shirts.

How to Make Full Print Shirts

In a nutshell, screen printing is a method of applying colored inks to a garment by using a silk screen mesh with a design etched into it.  If you want artwork that is large enough to cover the whole shirt, you won’t be able to use standard size screens because the design simply won’t fit!  So to compensate for the larger artwork, you will need custom large format silk screens to fit the artwork onto, but then you’ll need a printing press that can handle the oversized screens.  As you can see, it’s not as easy as just enlarging the artwork!  Not every printing company is capable or willing to go out of their way to provide oversize screen printing services for full print shirts, but we are at AMBRO Manufacturing.

Our company, AMBRO Manufacturing, has been in this business of custom garment decoration for over 30 years now, so we’ve amassed a wide spectrum of customization services that we can offer our clients.  Best of all, you don’t have to do it alone!  Since we know how to make full print shirts look great, you can work with our team to finalize your designs and they will be able to provide you with guidance and answer any questions you might have.  If you’re ready to place an order, or if you would like to speak with someone on our team, you can contact us by email or by calling us at (908) 806-8337.
